The speaker wears a small bodypack transmitter while the listener uses a small personal receiver and earphone. The systems operate over a distance of 100-150 feet. Models PFM 300/PFM 350 operate on 2 (AA) batteries (non-rechargeable alkaline or rechargeable Ni-Cad) and have a longer battery life than previous models.
